Ahmadinejad, Erdogan talk on phone

Ankara, Jan 16, IRNA – Turkish News Agency 'Anatolia' reported on Saturday that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan talked over phone with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad about developments in Lebanon.

The report said that in the telephone conversation on Friday night, the two sides discussed the latest developments in Lebanon.
The Anatolia added that the PM also contacted with Saudi Arabian King as well as Emir of Qatar and discussed with them Lebanon developments.

At the end of the meeting between Erdogan and Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Saad Hariri in Ankara on Friday, the Turkish PM said that his government supports establishment of stability in Lebanon.

Erdogan said that after talking with Iranian, Saudi and Qatari officials, probably a meeting with representatives from USA, France, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt will be held next week.

Hariri, two days after collapse of his government, arrived in Ankara on Friday to discuss Beirut crisis with Turkish senior officials.

When Hariri was in US, 11 cabinet ministers, all members of March 8, in protest to US and the Zionist regime continuous pressure on the court investigating assasination dossier of late Rafik Hariri.

Lebanese President Michel Suleiman asked Saad Hariri to be caretaker prime minister until the new government is formed./end
