NSC'S HEAD MEETS WB COUNTRY DIRECTOR
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A head of the National statistic commission (NSC) S.Mendsaikhan received a resident representative of the World Bank (WB) in Mongolia Mrs. Coralie Gevers January 13.
The NSC-WB cooperation started in 1992. Some ten projects have been implemented since ever, for example, research into livelihood rate, family income and expenditure survey.
Mrs. Gevers, who used to work as acting senior economist at General economists office of the WB, has underlined that concrete, true and high quality statistics information is vitally important for decision-making activities.
The sides have noted that a “MONSTAT” project, financed by the WB and aimed at strengthening Mongolian national statistics system, is of much importance and expressed a readiness to actively work for making the project gained results.
