HEALTH MINISTER MEETS UNFPA COUNTRY DIRECTOR
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Health S.Lambaa has received Mrs. Argentina Matavel, the permanent representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to Mongolia. Present were also Ch.Oyuntsetseg, UNFPA's deputy permanent representative to Mongolia, and G.Zolbayar, the Ministry official in charge of foreign relations and cooperation.
Mrs. Matavel has introduced the Minister to the UNFPA's permanent representative' works to be done in 2011 here and then shared views on related issues.
The Minister has underlined that the UNFPA has fruitfully cooperated with the government of Mongolia in the last period and appreciated these works. He has put forward proposals on upcoming official visit of the UNFPA's Director-General Thoraya Ahmed Obaid to Mongolia April 4-8 this year and expressed a hope that it will be of great importance.
Mrs. Matavel has expressed her position on the Mongolia-UNFPA coopeartion and said she would make efforts to forward the cooperation and organize the visit of the UNFPA's Director-General.
