Makkah Governor receives GCC Tourism Media Caravan

Jeddah, August 13, SPA -- Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the Governor of
Makkah Region received here today the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council)
Tourism Media Caravan currently visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


Prince Khalid Al-Faisal welcomed the delegation and wished that it
would not be the last one to tour Saudi Arabia.


He also highlighted the tourist projects that will be developed in
Makkah to make the Saudi cities among the advanced countries in the
field of tourism.

Among the tourism projects and most prominent is Okaz Souq in Taif
Governorate in addition to Jeddah Corniche along with the development
of historical monuments in Makkah to become tourist attraction.

He also stressed the importance of coincidence in terms of
promotional projects and Human cadres' development to achieve the
desired objectives in support of the tourism and development in Saudi
Arabia.


He lauded the distinctive role and efforts made by the Saudi
Commission of Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) headed by Prince Sultan
bin Salman, the Secretary General of the SCTA which has already
started yielding positive results.
