Yemen, U.S. discuss expanding bilateral partnership

SANA'A, Jan.12(Saba)- Minister
of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi met here on
Wednesday the
U.S.
ambassador to Yemen Gerald M. Feierstein.
At the meeting, al-Arhabi and Feierstein reviewed aspects of the existing
cooperation between Yemen and the U.S. and ways to enhance and develop it to serve
the common interests.
They touched upon a number of issues related to expanding areas of bilateral
cooperation and partnership between the two countries.
Al-Arhabi praised the level of the existing cooperation between Yemen and the U.S.,
appreciating the Washington's recent initiative to raise the ceiling of development
support
provided to Yemen.
For his part, the U.S. ambassador confirmed his country's keenness to continue to
provide the necessary support to enhance the paths of development and stability in
Yemen,
noting to the Yemeni government's efforts to face the financial and economic
challenges.
