Yemen's security is essential for the region

- US diplomat JEDDAH, Jan. 12 (Saba) -
US Consul General and Principal Officer in Jeddah Tom Duffy stressed on Wednesday
his country's
interest to boost up cooperation with Yemen.
During his meeting his meeting with the Yemeni Consul General to Jeddah Mohammed
al-Ayashi, Duffy accentuated his country keenness on Yemen's unity, security and
stability.
Yemen's security is a fundamental pillar for the region's security and stability,
Duffy said, emphasizing the importance of concerting the international efforts to
assist
Yemen to overcome the existing challenges.
Ayashi and Duffy reviewed the future prospects to enforce cooperation between the
two friendly countries in the light of the US secretary of State Hillary Clinton's
visit
to Yemen on Tuesday.
