SP calls for further cooperation between Yemen and South Africa

SANA'A, Aug. 12 (Saba)- Speaker of Parliament Yahya al-Raei affirmed
on Tuesday importance of benefiting from successful parliamentary
experiments of Yemen and South Africa.

During his meeting with the Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces of South Africa Mninwa Johannes Mahlangu, al-Raei called for extending fields of the cooperation between Yemen and South Africa to cover political and economic arenas.

He briefed the South African official on the Yemeni democratization and laws that insure rights for all Yemenis in
making decision and development through elections.Al-Raei pointed
out to the progress of the political system of Yemen and elections
as well as enhancing women rights and freedom of expression.For his
part, Mahlangu expressed happiness to visit Yemen, considering it as
a beginning for contacting between officials in both countries to
develop ties between the two peoples in different fields.He pointed
out to the appointment of resident ambassador of south African to
Yemen in coming period.
