WORKING GROUP SUBMITS DRAFT AMENDMENT

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ As we informed before, the Parliament Speaker D.Demberel set up a working group January 3 in charge of studying views of the media organizations and working out related proposals, in conjunction with some clauses of the amendment to the law on procedure of parliamentary session.
Comprising Z.Altai, E.Bat-Uul, Su.Batbold, J.Batsuuri and R.Gonchigdorj MPs, the group had been ordered by the Speaker to submit the proposals to parliament within January 11.
The group's meeting held Tuesday considered as necessary to make clear some clauses of the law on procedure of parliamentary session, and submitted a draft amendment to the law to the Speaker. The draft has amendment in wording of some clauses, an unintelligible sentence about criteria for journalists has been amended as well.
The draft initiators underline that parliament and the nmews organizations both must pay a special attention to the matter on relations in broadcasting parliamentary activities through media.
Receiving the draft amendment, the Speaker said he will send it to MPs, and, if necessary, to discuss it at the Standing committee on state structure.
