DEMPARTY FACTION MEETS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A regular meeting of the Democratic Party's (DP) faction at the State Great Khural ran Monday to consider several issues.
Kh.Temuujin MP has introduced a bill, initiated by him, on additional clause of the law on selection of lawyers to be added in the laws on court, on prosecutorial organizations, on notary and advocacy. The faction has decided to discuss it at a parliamentary session.
The Vice Minister of Finance Ch.Gankhuyag has introduced draft amendments to the laws on the Developmental Bank of Mongolia and the master-budget of Mongolia, and on draft laws on annulling some clauses of the law on regulation of foreign loans and assistance. These drafts have been drawn up with a key purpose to finance the biggest developmental projects, programs and constructions by creating a legal environment for the government to take commercial loans and to issue credit guarantee. The faction has postponed discussing these amendments considering that it is necessary to discuss them with participation of Kh.Battulga MP, the Minister of Roads, Transportation, Constructions and Urban Development, and S.Bayartsogt, the Minister of Finance, who are currently abroad.
The Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs Ts.Nyamdorj MP has introduced draft amendments to laws on working out draft decisions of the State Great Khural and other legal decisions, and on the procedure of the parliamentary session. The drafts have been rejected.
A chairman of a working group, set up in charge of drawing up proposals to the law on regulation of public and personal conflicts in the public services and preventing conflicts of interest, has presented his works. The faction has decided to discuss them after having reflected its proposals.
The faction have heard reports of R.Amarjargal and D.Gankhuyag MPs on discussion the draft of new wording of the law on budget. A conclusion will be issued by the faction soon.
