.Construction of Moskva City business centre to complete in 2015.
MOSCOW, January 10 (Itar-Tass) -- The construction of the Moskva City international business centre will be completed in 2015. No new projects, except for those approved earlier, are being implemented at the Moscow international business centre, the press service of Moscow First Deputy Mayor Vladimir Resin reported on Sunday.
"All Moskva City projects are approved long ago. All construction
sites, except for the one, are being built. Many construction sites have
already been commissioned and operate. Therefore, the infrastructure, city
management, transport intersections, particularly metro lines and parking
lots, are mainly under consideration," the press service quoted Resin as
saying.
"The task is set to complete all Moskva City projects for five years.
This is a real deadline. Several more skyscrapers will be commissioned
this year and the others in the next few years," Resin said, adding that
the construction of a Rossiya skyscraper planned to be the highest one was
not launched. "Such a high skyscraper will not be built at this place, an
investor was already found and a design project is in the making," he said.
The builders focused on "the construction of another four driveways
under the Moskva City business centre," Resin noted. "These construction
projects are quite complicated. One metro line operates now and two more
lines will be built," he pointed out.
"Today one can say that the Moskva City project is viable. Some
3,500-4,000 people worked there even in the hard times in 2010 and 2009.
We believe that all will be completed," Resin remarked.
"For the Moskva City centre to operate well on the investment basis,
the city authorities spend 85 billion roubles for the infrastructure now.
All these funds are spent properly," the Moscow high-ranking official
noted.
Last November Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin instructed Resin to head
the headquarters for urgent decision-making in the Moskva City business
centre.
"The project cannot be implemented with intervals and demands
permanent attention," Sobyanin underlined. The control is needed primarily
for the project to be completed, he noted. "Transport and social
infrastructures should be built simultaneously in order to develop them
altogether that requires great efforts and coordination between the
investors and the authorities," Sobyanin said. "Analytical, information,
controlling and coordination works" are needed in this project, he
indicated. The mayor earlier called the Moskva City construction quite
near to the Moscow centre as an urban panning mistake. However, he
acknowledged that the project should be completed all the same.
.Children present puppy to patriarch at Christmas show in Kremlin.
MOSCOW, January 10 (Itar-Tass) -- Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia
Kirill congratulated Russian children on Christmas at a Christmas show in
the Kremlin on Sunday. Several thousand children, including inmates of
orphanages, students of Orthodox Christian ecclesiastical gymnasiums and
lyceums, Sunday church schools and disabled children attended the
Christmas show. Soft toys, sweets, Christmas musical postcards and modern
notebooks were presented to them from the patriarch.
Alongside, children presented a white puppy to the supreme hierarch,
being aware that the patriarch likes dogs. The puppy has a rare dog breed
- the Polish Tatra Sheepdog.
The patriarch urged young Russians to keep the homeland as the main
treasure. "Many generations were working for this treasure to create, and
you are growing up and will be keeping it," he said. "You should remember
what the God taught us and should build your life under his law so that we
would never lose our dear Russia. This is easy, just do not ever do so
what you do not want others do to you," the patriarch underlined. He urged
children to do good and be ready "to sacrifice your time and attention to
other people."
Patriarch Kirill gave special attention to children in the
Christmastime. He visited a psychiatric ward of the Filatov Children's
Hospital and a ward for abandoned children.
