Kyrgyzstan to buy Uzbek gas at 223 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters.

BISHKEK, January 10 (Itar-Tass) - This year Kyrgyzstan will buy
natural gas from Uzbekistan at the price of 223 US dollars per 1,000 cubic meters against 242 US dollars last year, sources from the Kyrgyz
government told Itar-Tass on Monday.

They said this agreement was reached at consultations between experts
from the Kyrgyzgaz and Uztransgaz gas companies, which have ended in
Tashkent.
"By preliminary estimates, this year our republic will buy about 200
million cubic meters of Uzbek gas," the government sources added.
Last year, Kyrgyzstan was buying Uzbek gas at the price of 242 US
dollars per 1,000 cubic meters. "Under the agreement, we have the right to
increase the amount of exported fuel, warning the Uzbek partners about
that two weeks in advance," the sources stressed.
