PRIME MINISTER VISITS UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister of Mongolia S.Batbold started last Saturday his working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He and accompanying him officials were welcomed by UAE's Deputy Prime Minister, a Minister of Oil, and other officials at the international airport of Abu Dhabi.
In history of our relations, the Mongolian side has paid a visit on Presidential level; a visit on a level of the Head of the executive power never took place.
The Premier has held a meeting with His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a director of the Abu Dhabi Investment Council (AIC). He has spoken about the economic and political situation in Mongolia, ways of working with countries with big markets on issues of trade liberalization, contracts established with Russia and China by Mongolia as a landlocked country.
He has expressed a willingness to study experiences of the UAE's development and said the UAE have an opportunity to develop a collaboration with Mongolia by investing the biggest projects to be realized in the infrastructure.
In response, His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has wished the Premier a pleasant stay in the UAE. He has said the AIC is studying ways of widening the ties with Mongolia and of collaborating in some projects. Then he has asked about Mongolia's external trade, freight, tariffs and taxes.
The meeting has resulted in agreeing to have a meeting on working groups' level to discuss the cooperation matters.
The same day, the Premier received HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; a Deputy Prime Minister of UAE, and other officials. At the meetings, the sides discussed ways of boosting the relations and cooperation.
