Supreme Leader praises insight of people of Qom in 1978
Tehran, Jan 10, IRNA – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei here on Sunday praised the insight of the local people of the holy city of Qom in 1978.
The Supreme Leader made the remarks while addressing a large group of people from the holy city of Qom on the occasion of the anniversary of massive demonstrations in that city in 1978 to protest an article published by the Iranian daily Etella’at.
On that day, the committed people of Qom recognized the situation through their insight and poured into the streets, the Ayatollah reiterated.
Such a move by the people of Qom was a heavy blow to the enemies of Islam and the Arrogance powers, he reiterated.
During the meeting, the people of Qom renewed their allegiance to the aspiration of the Islamic Revolution and the Supreme Leader.
