Persian Gulf, Sea of Oman protected by IRGC's missiles
Tehran, Jan 8, IRNA – The Persian Gulf, Sea of Oman and entire region are protected by the long-range missiles of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps' naval force, it was announced Saturday.
Commander of the IRGC's naval force, Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi told IRNA that the force enjoyed high level of defensive power to protect the entire region from any possible threat.
He referred to the force's capability as an indication of high level of IRGC's ability to protect the country's sovereignty from any possible aggression.
Iran has repeatedly said that it favored strengthening of unity among Muslim states of the region and would use all within its reach to secure regional unity, Fadavi stressed.
He added that the IRGC's naval force was equipped with long-range surface-to-surface, surface-to-sea and under-surface missiles./end
