Ayat. Jannati: Seditionists lost social grade
Tehran, Jan 8, IRNA – Substitute Friday prayers leader of Tehran Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati says seditionists have no position among the public.
Delivering his second Friday prayers sermon here at Tehran University campus, Ayatollah Jannati said the elite, gaining the zero score in the test administered by the public last year, should leave the scene.
'Main seditionists did not know they face the public not the government; So, they should leave the scene for ever. They will be sidelined for sure,' he added.
Seditionists, he added, tried to turn the excellent opportunity of elections into threat but to no avail thanks to public wisdom. The people turned the threat into an opportunity on December 30, 2009.'
The Islamic Republic of Iran is a broad-based government and can not take guns against its own people, said the Ayatollah, adding that having realized that their system is in danger, people came on the scene and foil the conspiracy.
Elsewhere in his address, Ayatollah Jannati touched on the subsidy-cut plan, saying it would encourage administration of social justice, economic growth, production and quality improvement, productivity, employment and consumption pattern and banking reforms.
So, he added, officials of the three branches of government should join hands to implement the law./end
