No fishing ship wreckage traces found in Tatar Strait.

MOSCOW, January 7 (Itar-Tass) -- No wreckage traces of a fishing
vessel were found in the Tatar Strait, the press service of the main
EMERCOM department in the Sakhalin Region told Itar-Tass on Friday.
"The probable location of the Partner fishing vessel, which gave the
SOS signals on Friday morning, was searched through in the Tatar Strait.
The Pioneer of Kholmsk dry cargo ship, an airplane An-74 of the Far
Eastern aviation rescue centre and the ground search team, which had
searched along the coast from Uglegorsk to Krasnogorsk, were involved in
the rescue operation. The Partner fishing vessel or its wreckage traces
have not been found in the search yet," the Sakhalin EMERCOM department
reported.
The Pioneer dry cargo ship and the Chelyabinsk motor ship continue the
search operation. "Sakhalin rescuers, who have searched through the coast
from Kholmsk to the village of Ilyinsky since January 8, will reinforce
the ground search team," the press service reported.
Meanwhile, emergency workers from the EMERCOM inspection for small
vessels and officials from the Uglegorsk district authorities will make
the repeated search from Krasnogorsk to the village of Ilyinsky.
"If the weather improves in the sea incident area two helicopters Mi-8
will be involved in the search operation," the press service said.
