Milan mayor to visit Yemen in October

SANA'A, Aug 12 (Saba) - Milan's first female mayor Letizia Moratti
is expected to pay an official visit to Sana'a in late October
during which she will meet with Yemeni government and capital
secretariat officials.

The visit is scheduled for 27-29 October and will aim to forge ties
between the Italian city of Milan and Yemeni city of Sana'a.

The possibility of benefiting from Milan cadres experiences and
technical expertise would be brought up during Moratti meetings with
the Yemeni officials.

Moratti would pay visits to several tourist sites in the country to
familiarize with Yemen's tourist products.

Yemen has launched may tourism promotional campaigns in Europe which
targeted countries such as Britain, France, Germany and Italy.

It also participated in many tourist conferences, meetings and
exhibitions held in European cities in an attempt to introduce these
countries people to its tourism products.

Most foreign visitors to Yemen are from European countries, and for
this reason the Yemeni government is very interested to promote
Yemen tourism in these countries as well as attracting more visitors
to its lands.
