Yemen, GOIC sign memo of understanding on cooperation

SANA'A, Aug 12 (Saba) - Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT) and the
Gulf Organization for Industrial Consultations (GOIC) signed on
Monday a memo of understanding on cooperation.

The memo, which signed by Deputy Assistant of MIT for industrial
development and investing affairs Abdullah No'aman and GOIC's
Secretary General Ahmad al-Mutawe'a, stipulates on cooperation
between the two parts for completing Yemen's integration with the
GCC's industrial consulting organization as soon as possible.


The memo also dealt with cooperation between the organization and
the ministry in fields of industrial development, namely in field of
available industrial projects as investment opportunities in Yemen.


The two parts agreed on helping Yemen in preparing profit studies of
projects and programs aiming at development industrial sector,
expanding productive sectors and including Yemen in programs and
training courses held by the organization.


The memo includes appointing permanent coordinator for each part to
be responsible on following up implementing this memo and that the
industrial ministry will be in charge of encouraging industrial
private sector in Yemen to make use of GOIC's capabilities.
