Aden to host 20th Gulf football competition, sports minister confirms

ADEN, Aug 12 (Saba) - Minister of Youths and Sports Hamoud Ubad
denied on Sunday reports over possibilities of changing place of
hosting 20th Gulf football competition from Aden to other
governorate.

It is impossible to change, Ubad said, Aden would host the
Gulf event.

Regarding problem of accommodation, the minister said
that a plan was adopted to resolve this problem after field trip to
Aden along with Minister of Tourism.

He made it clear that there is a special program to prepare the
Yemeni football team through organizing friendly matches inside and
outside the country.

Ubad said that the works in building of new football stadium in
Abyan governorate are underway at sum of $ 5 million.
