PRIME MINISTER ATTENDS BUSINESS FORUM
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister of Mongolia S.Batbold has said that Mongolian wants to develop mutually-beneficial cooperation with Arab states of Persian Gulf in the commercial and economic sectors, during his speech at a Mongolia-Kuwait business and investment forum. This forum has attracted representatives of some 20 companies which carry their activities in the Gulf States.
The Premier has noted developmental projects have begun opening many opportunities for Mongolian development. He has added Mongolia is collaborating with the European Union, the USA, Japan and other developed countries in the trade and economic sectors, and being involved in the biggest investment of these countries.
Mentioning that Mongolia is talking with its neighbor countries about establishment of contracts on facilitation of trade and tariffs of transit transportation, the Premier has stated it is open to make investments to Mongolia in the infrastructure, mining, agriculture, health, oil, finance, banking and capital spheres. “Mongolia and Arabian countries intend to co-organize a forum of Arabian investors for Mongolia on June of this year in Ulaanbaatar,” he went on.
The sides have considered that the Mongolian Premier's visit has played a main role to propagandize Mongolia to Arabian countries.
Kuwaiti investors want to cooperate with Mongolia in the oil trade, exploration and extraction, in the agricultural sector including the export of meat products, and in banking and financial sectors. With an aim to realize the proposals of the Kuwaiti side, the Prime Minister has told Mongolian businessmen that the Kuwaiti side is ready to back one project which must be worked out well by Mongolian companies.
The Mongolian side has put forward proposals to the Emir of Kuwait; the Speaker of the National Assembly; the Prime Minister; and a chairman of the Kuwaiti Foundation to construct a 150 km paved-road between Erdenet and Moron, and to collaborate in building a new pediatric hospital. In response, the Kuwaiti side has expressed a willingness to help Mongolia.
