Yellow-shirts rally at Government House, demanding quick rescue of 7 Thais in Phnom Penh

BANGKOK, Jan 6 (TNA) - Members of the Thai Patriots Network who are supporters of the yellow-shirt People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD), rallied in front of Government House on Thursday (Jan 6), demanding that the Thai government bring seven Thai nationals--who have been detained in Phnom Penh--back home safely as soon as possible.

The demonstrators threatened to stage a series of rallies to topple the Thai government, headed by Democrat Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, if the Abhisit administration failed to assist the seven Thai detainees.

The yellow-clad protesters urged the Thai premier to show courage and protect national sovereignty. They also encouraged the Thai military to take decisive action against Cambodia and not to tolerate Cambodian threats along the common border. (TNA)
