AZERBAIJAN `SIMPLIFIES BORDER CROSSING PROCEDURES` FOR FOREIGNERS LEAVING GEORGIA
Baku, 12 AUGUST (AzerTAj) - Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is now applying simplified border crossing procedures for foreigners who are forced to leave Georgia due to escalating tension in the country, the Ministry`s spokesman Khazar Ibrahim said Monday at a regular briefing.
According to him, the move came after a large group of foreign citizens gathered near Georgia`s border with Azerbaijan to ask for assistance in ensuring their safe return to their homelands. Ibrahim said the Ministry will continue making every effort to help them.
