Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Male and female wrestlers of the Mongolian selected team of sambo will take part in the 2nd World championship for sambo wrestling.
Co-organized by the Asian Sambo Wrestling Federation and the East Asian Sambo Wrestling Federation, the competitions will run in Seoul, the South Korea. In the first competitions, the Mongolian wrestlers grabbed 13 gold, four silver and seven bronze medals.

Mongolian free-style wrestlers plan to go to the Russian Federation to take part in international competitions named after D.G.Mindiashvili January 10-16 in Krasnoyarsk city. After this, the Mongolians will compete in the Golden Grand Prix international tournament named after twice Olympic champion and world champion Ivan Yarygin to take place January 27-30.
The wrestlers will also participate in international competitions named after the president of Russian Buryatia February 5-8 in Ulan-Ude city.

Mongolian athletes are preparing for the 7th Asian Winter Games that are to take place January 30-February 6 in Astana and Almaty cities, Kazakhstan.
The 7th Asian Winter Games will be attended by some 550 athletes from 45 countries-members of the Olympic Council of Asia. They will compete in 11 sports events for 69 package medals.
The Mongolians will run in the events of cross-country skiing, Alpine skiing, speed skating, ice hockey, bandy and ski orienteering. The Mongolian team will be headed by J.Khatanbaatar, a member of the Executive Council of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee, and a People's Medical Doctor.
It is expected that our team for bandy may show a success at the Games. The bandy events will run among teams from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China and India as well.
