Student issues discussed as Yemen, Egypt hold talks

CAIRO, Jan 04 (Saba) ¿ Yemen's
ambassador to Egypt Abdul Wali al Shamiri met on Monday with Egyptian Minister of
Higher
Education and Scientific Research Saleh BaSurrah Hani Hilal.
They discussed the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the higher
education and scientific research field as well as issues of Yemeni students in
Egypt including
security approval for the students coming to study in Egypt as well as issues
related to studying master's and doctoral programmes and reviewing scholarships
within the cultural
exchange between the two countries.
They agreed to establish suitable solutions to all problems of Yemeni students and
researches during their study at Egyptian universities.
At the meeting, al Shamiri offered the condolences of the Yemeni people and
government to the Egyptian people and government following the deadly bombing on an
Alexandria
church that took place early on Friday.
Yemen strongly condemns such acts and expresses its deepest sympathy, particularly
to the families of the victims, he said.
