Preparations for including Yemen in GOIC discussed

SANA'A, Aug.11 (Saba)-Minister of Industry and Trade Yahya
al-Mutawakel discussed on Monday with Secretary General of Gulf
Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) Ahmad al-Mutawe'a
preparations for including Yemen in the organization.


In the meeting, Minister al-Mutawakel reviewed government's efforts
for boosting industrial development process through available
productive energies and promoting competence of the national
industries to keep pace with new international economic system.

"We have many policies and measures aiming at encouraging
investments in industrial sector," said al-Mutawakel, who acquainted
the Gulf delegation with the new industrial law, which has
importance in developing, improving and organizing industrial
activity.


For his part, al-Mutawe'a affirmed GOIC's keenness on including
Yemen as a seven member in the organization, noting that Yemen's
integration with the organization would contribute in utilizing
great opportunities for realizing aims of industrial development.

He showed readiness to hold a workshop to Yemeni and Gulf investors
and boosting cooperation ties between the private sectors in Yemen
and Gulf countries.
