NAM, G77, China, Russia, Turkey, Brazil envoys to visit Iran nuclear sites
TEHRAN, Jan. 4 (MNA) – Representatives from several countries and international organizations are scheduled to visit Iran’s nuclear facilities in mid-January.
Envoys of the NAM troika, chairman of the Group of 77, and representatives of China, Russia, Turkey, and Brazil will travel to Iran on January 15 and 16 to inspect the Arak heavy water nuclear facility and Natanz nuclear enrichment facility.
Pundits believe that Iran has taken this step ahead of talks with the major powers to assure the international community that its nuclear program is only meant for peaceful purposes.
The talks between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany are to be held in Istanbul in late January.
