ANNIVERSARY HAS STARTED OF NAT'L INDEPENDENCE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The government has issued a resolution to set up a national committee for marking the 100th anniversary of the Independence of Mongolia. The committee is headed by the Deputy Premier M.Enkhbold.
In accordance with the resolution, the national committee has officially started the anniversary actions by organizing a scientific conference in the Palace Museum of Bogd Khaan. Present at the conference's opening were D.Demberel, the Parliament Speaker, M.Enkhbold, the head of the national committee, some MPs, historians and scholars.
In frames of the anniversary, a parliamentary meeting of honor dedicated to the anniversary will be held, memorable postage stamps will be printed, the Museum of Bogd Khaan is to be repaired, essay writing contest will be announced, and the independence anniversary will be widely propagandized.
The committee also plans to collaborate with the Academy of Sciences in organizing the 10th international session of Mongolian studies scholars and in publishing some ten research works.
