Khoy cement factory to come on stream
TEHRAN, Jan. 2 (MNA) – Khoy cement factory in West Azarbaijan province will come on stream tomorrow.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Industries and Mines Minister Ali-Akbar Mehrabian will attend the inauguration ceremony.
The unit has been established at the cost of €32 million and 1.5 trillion rials (some $145 million) and has the capacity to produce one million tons of cement annually.
Khoy cement factory has created 470 direct and 5,000 indirect job opportunities.
The unit has started its trial production in August and has product over 388,000 tons of gray cement so far.
