PREMIER GETS AU FAIT WITH REPORT OF RAILWAY SECTOR
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Railway authorities gave a report to the Prime Minister S.Batbold on results of the works done in the previous year, and then rang the bell of a locomotive.
The Premier has mentioned that the government appreciated contributions of the railway sector to fulfilling the socio-economic goals for Mongolia in 2010, and has stated that the government has put forward a certain purpose to increase the socio-economic growth in this year, and will make the basis of a great construction. The Premier has underlined an importance of participation of the railway sector to realize the purpose, and reported that 2011 will be a historical year for railway sphere for implementing a state policy.
In the last year, the Ulaanbaatar Railways Joint Stock Venture transported 16.7 million tons freight overfulfilling the plan by 11.5 per cent.
