Iran to host international congress on Bidel Dehlavi
TEHRAN, Jan.2 (MNA) -- The Iranian Literature Center planned to hold an international congress on Persian poet and Sufi Mirza Abdolqader Bidel Dehlavi (1644-1721) on May 18 and 19 in Tehran.
Bidel Dehlavi (1642–1720) was a famous Persian poet and Sufi born in Azimabad (present day Patna, India). He mostly wrote ghazals and quatrains in Persian and was the author of 16 books of poetry, which contain nearly 147,000 verses and include several from Masnavi.
