Iranian President’s car on sale for charity
AHVAZ, Jan.1(MNA) -- The managing director of Arvand Free Trade Zone said that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s Peugeot 504 will be put on sale at the zone’s car exhibition during the Ten Day Dawn ceremony (February 1 to 10).
Ali-Asghar Parhizkar added that the president’s car will be auctioned alongside 70 classic cars from various countries and the money earned will be used as charity for building shelter for handicaps and the needy.
"The Peugeot 504 belonging to President Ahmadinejad will be on a show of classic cars" in Iran's Southwestern city of Abadan, Parhizkar said.
The official noted that the show is aimed to be a tourist attraction and unique cars will be on display in it.
Upon an agreement by Iran's Minister of Welfare and Social Security Sadeq Mahsouli and Head of the Presidential Office Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, Ahmadinejad's 1977 car will be auctioned, he noted.
