Ukrainian ambassador meets Iranian Majlis speaker
TEHRAN, Jan.1(MNA) -- Ukrainian ambassador to Tehran met late on Wednesday with Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani.
During the meeting Larijani pointed to regional developments in recent years, saying that regional nations can revitalize themselves and experience independence.
And this is an opportunity for increasing interactions between the regional nations as well, Larijani noted.
In the current atmosphere, new steps should be taken for improving mutual cooperation in different areas between the countries in the region, the senior lawmaker suggested.
Larijani also highlighted the importance of parliamentary cooperation between Tehran and Kiev, saying Majlis is ready to expand relations with the Ukrainian parliament.
The ambassador, for his part, said that the Ukrainian parliament will support efforts to increase ties between the two countries.
