Salehi: Iran-Ethiopia should help resolve regional crises

Tehran, Dec 29, IRNA – Visiting Special Envoy of Ethiopian Foreign Minister Fisaheh Yemer conferred on Tuesday with Iran’s Foreign Ministry Caretaker Ali-Akbar Salehi on issues of mutual interests along with regional developments.
In the meeting, the Ethiopian envoy called for close cooperation with Tehran in resolving regional crises.
Referring to deep-rooted ties and cooperation between the two countries, Salehi underlined that Tehran is to spare no efforts to help broaden political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries.
Both Iran and Ethiopia pursue a strategic approach in the Middle East as well as the Horne of Africa, Salehi said and expressed the hope that following the visit of the Ethiopian foreign minister to Tehran and exchange of views between the two sides' delegates to witness bolstering ties between the two countries.
The Ethiopian envoy, for his part, referred to the close stands between the two countries on regional and international issues such as supporting the cause of Palestine and described his visit to Tehran as a turning point in expansion of ties between Iran and Ethiopia./end
