Palm oil available for Thai consumers, says Ministry
BANGKOK, Dec 28(TNA) - The Thai Ministry of Commerce says that supply of cooking palm oil is now available at local outlets and supermarkets throughout the country.
Watcharee Wimuktayon, Director-General of the ministry's Department of Internal Trade, said that her department, in cooperation with a packaging manufacturer of palm oil products, will supply more than two million bottles of cooking palm oil to the local traders across the country by Tuesday.
Watcharee said she has been reported by her department's inspection teams that the supply of cooking palm oil is now available for local consumers at a number of outlets and superstores.
The Internal Trade Department chief acknowledged that the cooking palm oil will be initially available some 2-3 bottles for each consumer to ensure sufficient supply to all. (TNA)
