FM agrees to detained German nationals meeting families
Tehran, Dec 28, IRNA – Iran Foreign Ministry has made it possible for two German nationals arrested in Iran to meet their families.
The arrangement comes upon request of German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle to caretaker of Iran's Foreign Ministry Ali-Akbar Salehi and his pursuit of the matter as well as the Judiciary's agreement on humanitarian grounds.
Foreign Ministry said agreement to the meeting comes ahead of New Year's Eve.
Posing as reporters, the Germans, holding tourist visas, contacted family of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, a woman convicted of complicity in the murder of her husband./end
