15 mln t of oil shipped via Kozmino since Jan 2010.

VLADIVOSTOK, December 28 (Itar-Tass) - The 15 millionth tonne of oil
has been shipped Tuesday via the special oil seaport of Kozmino. Thereby
the yearly plan for the work of the enterprise has been completed. The
latest consignment of oil has been taken on board by the tanker Paramount
Hamilton that will deliver it to Japan.
Within the remaning days of the outgoing year, another 300,000 tonnes
of oil will be shipped to Pacific Rim countries, an official in the press
service of the enterprise has told Itar-Tass.
The year that has passed since the opening of the oil port of Kozmino
has shown that the enteprrise operates right on schedule. More than 150
tankers of various countries, each with a deadweight of 100,000 tonnes and
more, called at Kozmino over the period.
The Kozmino oil port near the maritime city of Nakhiodka launched its
operation at the end of December last year. It is the terminus of the
Eastern Siberia--Pacific Ocean oil pipeline transportation system which is
under construction. Tankers berth at two oil jetties 439 metres long and
two wharves, 161 and 170 metres long.
For the time being, oil is delivered there by rail and then by sea to
Asia-Pacific Region countries by tankers with a deadweight of up to
150,000 tonnes. Shipments amount to 15 million tonnes of hydrocarbon fuel
a year.
In the second phase, yet another shipment terminal will be built at
theport for transoceanic tankers with a deadwelight of 300,000 tonnes
while the pumping of oil will mount up to 50 million tonnes a year.
