Ice sculpture fest draws to a close in Yekaterinburg Tue
YEKATERINBURG, December 28 (Itar-Tass) - The IX International ice
sculpture festival Europe-Asia, which is held in honour of the forthcoming Year of Russian Cosmonautics, draws to a close here on Tuesday.
A winner is to become known on Tuesday night.
All residents of Yekaterinburg and guests of the city will be able to admire ice carvings on Wednesday.
The five-day festival drew 16 teams comprising 32 ice carvers from
Khabarovsk, Angarsk, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk, Tobolsk, Nizhny Tagil,
Tyumen, Perm, and those from Finland.
Last year, a similar festival, in which a Khabarovsk team won, was
dedicated to the creative activity of Anton Chekhov on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the novelist's birth.
