SNSC assistant secretary arrives in Damascus
Damascus, Dec 26, IRNA – Assistant secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) in foreign policy affairs Ali Baqeri arrived in Damascus on Sunday early morning.
At the airport, Baqeri said that his 2-day visit to Syria aims to strengthen strategic cooperation between the two countries.
He added that the visit is in the framework of constant consultations between Iran and Syria in different issues.
Baqeri also said that during the visit, he will meet with President Bashar al-Assad and Foreign Minister Walid al-Moalem.
SNSC assistant secretary added he will meet leaders of Palestinian resistance groups such as head of political bureau of Palestine Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS) Khalid Meshal and Secretary General of Palestine Islamic Jihad Movement Ramadan Abdullah Shallah./end
