Afghanistan VP visits Iran’s Defense Ministry exhibition

Tehran, Dec 26, IRNA – Afghanistan First Vice-President paid a visit to Defense Ministry Abilities exhibition on Saturday.

Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim, who is visiting Iran, attended the venue of Defense Ministry Abilities Exhibition and talked with Defense Minister General Ahmad Vahidi on Saturday.

Marshal Fahim appreciated Iran’s support for Afghanistan nation and underlined necessity of developing defensive cooperation between the two countries.

He evaluated Iran’s role in providing security in the region and cooperation in creating security in Afghanistan 'Excellent'.

Marshal Fahim called Iran-Afghanistan as two friendly and brotherly countries and added that we expect during construction era of Afghanistan, bilateral relations expand in all fields .

General Vahidi praised Afghan martyrs, who died for freedom of their own country, and said that considering commonalities between the two countries, Iran-Afghanistan relations are strategic.

He said that way of progress and development in Afghanistan would pass through security and development of regional cooperation.

Vahidi also expressed Iran’s readiness to share Iranian experiences and abilities in this concern to their brotherly neighbor of Afghanistan.

In an interview with reporters, Marshal Fahim praised Iran’s achievements in defence field and called it an honor for Islamic world./END
