Rahimi confers with Afghan Vice-President
Tehran, Dec 25, IRNA -- First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi in Tehran on Saturday conferred with Afghan Vice President Mohammad Qasim Fahim on issues of mutual interests as well as regional developments.
Rahimi said the flames of ravaging war triggered by the western countries under the pretext of campaign against terrorism in Afghanistan has engulfed some regional countries such as Pakistan.
He said that the recent terrorist attack in Chabahar which claimed lives of dozens of innocent people is part of the western conspiracies against the Islamic Republic of Iran .
'Global arrogance which masterminded September 11th terror to initiate invasion of Afghanistan, managed to occupy the country and made the country insecure through bloodshed and carnage of innocent people.'
Rahimi said that the global arrogance has targeted the Islamic countries citing the conflicts and bloodshed in Yemen, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kashmir and Bosnia- Herzegovina.
He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran spares no efforts to contribute to Afghan reconstruction and that the two countries could expand cooperation to bring welfare to their nations.
Having cultural, religious affinities helps bolster cooperation between the two nations, he said.
The Afghan vice-president said for his part that the Islamic Republic of Iran has become a reliable source of support for the world Muslims.
Qasim Fahim said that Iran is a capable country in various fields and its scientific developments at international scene have made the Muslim nations proud.
Afghanistan never forgets the supports the Islamic Republic of Iran extended to the Afghan people mainly during the era of national resistance to the former Soviet Union occupation.
He said that Afghanistan is willing to benefit from Iran’s invaluable experiences in various fields./end
