Javanfekr stresses Iran-Pak media cooperation

Islamabad, Dec 25, IRNA -- Advisor to the Iranian President on media affairs and Managing Director of IRNA Ali-Akbar Javanfekr here Friday visited a private Pakistani news channel’s office and called for media interaction between the two nations.
Javanfekr was accompanied by Ambassador of Iran Mashallah Shakeri along with his member delegates.
IRNA chief was warmly welcomed by Rana Jawad the Bureau Chief of Islamabad Geo TV office.
Javanfekr expressing his views said that media of both Iran and Pakistan should play a significant role to frustrate the designs of those forces who are trying to create mistrust between the two brother nations.
He also underlined the need to build more connections between media of the two countries as this would help in bringing the media together.
He added that enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and Iran in the field of media would further reinforce the strong relationship between the two brotherly countries.
The advisor said that media professionals of Pakistan and Iran should work intelligently as both countries are in middle of a soft war.
Ambassador of Iran Mashallah Shakeri during the occasion said that that the media of Iran and Pakistan have enormous dynamism and they should work closely.
Javanfekr also visited different sections of the Geo Tv and interacted with the staff. IRNA chief appreciated professionalism of Geo Tv staff and wished them good luck.
According to Gallup survey, Geo is highly rated and the most watched satellite channel in Pakistan for its entertainment, news talk shows and flavored programs.
