BEIJING, December 24 (Itar-Tass) -- The volume of bilateral trade
turnover between Russia and the Chinese province of Heilungjiang increased
by 30 percent over eight months of 2010 in comparison with the same period
of 2009 and amounted to 4.6 billion dollars, the newspaper China Daily
wrote on Friday.
"The volume of investments in the development of the province's trade
and economic zones targeted at cooperation with Russia amounted to more
than 40 billion yuans (six billion dollars), the newspaper notes.
As China Daily writes, in 2010, the local authorities intend to take
measures to render aid to enterprises which are engaged in carrying out
trade operations with Russia, as well as promote further putting into life
of the intergovernmental programme of cooperation between regions of
Russia's Far East and Eastern Siberia and North-Eastern China. An
accelerated creation of bases for handling goods delivered for export to
Russia and development of bilateral trade of highly technological products
are among the priority directions.
The main directions of cooperation between Heilungjiang and Russia's
constituencies include, first of all, joint projects in the timber
industry, the energy sector, the development of natural gas fields,
agriculture and housing construction.
