CONFEDERATION OF JOURNLAISTS NAMES BESTS OF 2010
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The United Confederation of Mongolian Journalists (UCMJ) has announced the best politicians, businessman, organization and person who support journalists and media organizations.
Firstly, the President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj has been selected the Ardent Supporter of Media for his struggle for developing free media and for his significant contribution to creating proper legal environment for ensuring free media. The diploma with a statement “The President supporting free media” is awarded in accordance with a decision of the UCMJ's Executive Committee on a basis of conclusions from journalists and journalism researchers.
The Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city G.Monkhbayar has been selected the top politician of 2010 who supports media for promoting media and journalists' works in all sectors and for strengthening the Fourth Governance.
The president of the “Gobi” corporation Ts.Baatarsaikhan has become the best businessman for media for his support to media and journalists and for developing democratic, responsible and ethical journalism in Mongolia.
One of the biggest commercial banks--the “Khan Bank”--has been named the best organization for significantly contributing to developing ethical and responsible journalism by supporting it.
