Turkish President in Yemen in January
SANA'A, Dec. 23 (Saba) - Turkey`s
President Abdullah Gul is scheduled to visit Yemen in January of 2011,
the Weekly 26 September said
on Thursday.
In an interview with the weekly, Turkish ambassador to Yemen Mohammed
Donamaz said that Gul's visit is very significant for improving the
bilateral relations in various
areas and emphasizing the supportive Turkish firm and last stance on
Yemen's unity, security and stability.
The Turkish president will be coupled with high-ranked official
delegation and a number of Turkish businessmen.
On the sidelines of the visit, a number of agreements and cooperation
protocols between Yemen and Turkey, including agreements of opening an
economic cooperation office
in Sana'a to finance infrastructure projects by Turkey and to exchange
training expertise between Yemeni and Turkish armies.
During the visit, a Yemeni-Turkish businessmen council is to be
established to advance the investment and commercial exchange.
According to the Turkish diplomat, the volume of annual commercial
between Turkey and Yemen in 2009 reached $380 million and will amount to
$ 1 billion in yearly in the
future.
