GOII concerns to joint Yemen as 7th member, says secretary general
SANA'A, Aug. 09 (Saba)- Secretary General of Gulf Organization for
Industrial Investments (GOII) Ahmed al-Matawa affirmed concern of
the organization to join Yemen into the organization as seventh
member.
In a statement to Saba upon his arrival in Sana'a International
Airport, al-Matawa said that the accession of Yemen into
organization would allow it to benefit from the consultations,
studies and reports presented by the organization over setting up
industrial projects.
He said that Yemen is rich with natural, industrial and human
resources.
Al-Matawa made it clear that he would hold talks with the
Yemeni officials in the ministry of industry over required measures
to inter Yemen into the organization and studies of the origination
for industrial projects that were suggested by investors in
Yemen.
The organization was established in 1976 as a regional
organization dealing with the industrial development in the GCC
countries.
