South African National Council speaker to visit Yemen soon

SANA'A, Aug. 09 (Saba)- South African Speaker of the National
Council of Provinces Mninwa Johannes Mahlangu would start on Monday
a several days official visit in response to an invitation by Shoura
Council Chairman, and chairman of the Association of Senates and
Shoora and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab World
(ASSECAA) Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Ghani.

The visit aims to improve mutual ties at political and parliamentary
level and to boost Arab-African connection channels by activating
the role of the ASSECAA.

During the visit of the South African official, he will hold talks
with Abdul Ghani and other officials of the council on a number of
issues related to mutual cooperation ties between the two councils
and countries in various fields, in addition to issues concerning
ASSECAA.

He will also hold meetings with a number of state officials dealing
with mutual cooperation relations and issues of boosting joint
cooperation ties between Yemen and South Africa in various fields.

It is worth mentioning that this is the first visit at this level
for a South African official to Yemen.
