Ministry of Culture and Information holds cultural events in China

Beijing, August 09, SPA-- Assistant Undersecretary of Ministry of
Culture and Information for Foreign Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin
Salamah, the head of the delegation of the ministry, who arrived in
Beijing yesterday, pointed out that the Kingdom's cultural and
artistic participation in the activities of Beijing Olympics comes as
part of its participation with various countries in the world to
publicize the Kingdom's development, economic, cultural, civilized,
educational and industrial growth along with its distinguished and
civilized heritage.

In line with the directives of Minister of Culture and Information Iyad bin Amin Madani, the Kingdom has sought to highlight its role on such occasions and it published a book in Chinese language titled Issues from Saudi Arabia that will be distributed to visitors, he said.

He noted that the activities will continue for ten days in China including a book fair, cultural exhibitions at the National Libary of China, participation of folk groups and distribution of booklets on Saudi Arabia and its role at Islamic, Arab and global arenas to achieve peace and amity in the world.
