Yemeni Defense Minister delivers statement

Jeddah, August 09, SPA--Yemen's Minister of Defense Major General
Muhammad Nasser Ahmad expressed his pleasure over visiting the
Kingdom and meeting Saudi officials to exchange viewpoints on
strengthening relations between the two brotherly countries in all
fields.

In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) upon arrival in Jeddah
today, he said that he would hand over two messages to the Custodian
of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the
Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz
from President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen.

The Yemeni minister pointed out that the talks between the two sides
come within cooperation between the two brotherly countries to
benefit from the experience of our brothers in the Kingdom in
addition to the development of close partnership relationship between
the Kingdom and Yemen in the framework of joint Arab action aimed at
serving the interests of the two peoples and countries.

He added that relations between the Kingdom and Yemen have been
distinguished and achieved much progress in development according to
the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah
bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Yemen's President Ali Abdullah Saleh,
especially after signing Jeddah International Treaty to demarcate
borders between the two countries which opened broad and wide
horizons in relations between the two neighboring and brotherly
countries.
