German Catholic peace group urges boycott of 'Israeli' goods
Berlin, Dec 22, IRNA -- A German Catholic peace organization on Tuesday called for a boycott of 'Israeli' products over its apartheid policies against Palestinians.
A spokeswoman for Pax Christi said since 'Israel' did not specifically mark the goods which it produced in the occupied Palestinian territories, all its products should be
boycotted in Germany.
'Many (German) consumers have become very sensitive when it comes to goods whose production are linked to violation of international law,' the spokesperson added.
She stressed whoever wants to make sure that he or she is not buying goods produced by Jewish settlers, should refrain from purchasing any products from Israel.
Although the issue of boycotting 'Israeli' goods is a very touch one in Germany, given that country's Nazi past, more and more Germans are backing the international 'Boycott, Divestment, Sanction' (BDS) campaign aimed at ending the Zionist apartheid against Palestinians./end
