Supreme Leader hails success of Iranian athletes at Para Asia games
Tehran, Dec 22, IRNA – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Tuesday hailed the success of Iranian athletes in the first edition of Para Asia games in China.
In a message, the Supreme Leader praised the brilliant performances of the Iranian disabled and war veteran athletesin the first edition of the 16th Para Asia Games in Guangzhou, China.
“I would like to express my gratitude to you who made our people happy and brought the country pride in the field of championship sports,” said the Supreme Leader in his message.
The first edition of the 16th Para Asia games ended in the Chinese city of Guangzhou with Iran ranking 4th by winning 27 gold, 24 silver and 29 bronze medals.
At the end of this round of competitions, China stood atop with 185 gold, 118 silver and 88 bronze medals./end
